The collection

One of the largest collections in the Netherlands

Since the foundation of the Dutch Resistance Museum in 1985, its collection has become one of the largest collections in the Netherlands related to the occupation and the resistance movement in the years 1940-1945. Many people kept their tangible memories of the war years and have donated these to the Dutch Resistance Museum.

The main historical value of the objects and documents is often mainly in combination with the story behind them. This is why the museum tries to record these stories, either on paper or in the form of taped interviews.
