The Dutch Resistance Museum, chosen as the best historical museum of the Netherlands, tells the story of the Dutch people in Word War II. How did Dutch people respond to the Nazi occupation? Who resisted? Why, and how? You’ll see, hear en read fascinating stories about the exceptional, as well as about everyday life. Education is a core task for the museum. Love in wartime, new exhibition from June 4 2010

In times of conflict and upheaval love takes on a greater intensity. The Second World War influenced the love lives of a whole generation. You got butterflies in your stomach down in the air raid shelters, in the resistance, in the trenches and even in the concentration camps. Season '40-'45. Football during WWII

April 29, 2009 - April 11, 2010. Surprising exhibition on football during WWII, which was more popular than ever. Only ten days after the invasion teams started playing again, crowds gathered in the stadium. But of course the war also left its marks, persecution, hunger, it all affected the game and more important, its players. The exhibition offers a wide range of interactives and is suitable for all who love the game or its stories, the very young and the old. Read more

Fritz Behrendt - Marked by the war shows drawings and sketches of one of Hollands most famous artists who published cartoons on political issues for more than 40 years in almost every magazine or newspaper one can imagine. From February 25 2009 - June 27 2010. Read more

The  'I amsterdam Card' consists of a chip-card, a public transport ticket, a full-colour guide and provides over 30 free and 20 discounted offers on major tourist attractions and restaurants.
